1. Acceptance of Terms

Welcome to Routed Roots, an intentional travel platform designed to curate transformational journeys that grow communities, preserve heritage, and let travelers carry their stories in purpose. By accessing or using Routed Roots, you agree to the following terms and conditions. By creating an account or using Routed Roots you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions and our Privacy Policy. Please ensure that you have read and agree to these Terms before using the platform.

2. Purpose of the Platform & Partner Ecosystem

  • Connecting travelers with verified local tour operators, community-run lodges, and wildlife conservation partners in Botswana and expanding African destinations.
  • Facilitating AI-powered personalized itineraries and travel recommendations.
  • Maintaining The Travel Vault for AI-generated timelines, journaling prompts, and local impact stats.
  • Enabling community participation across specialized Tribes (Big 5 Spotters, Eco-Conscious Travelers, Craft Collectors, Wellness Seekers, Adventure Junkies, Wildlife Photographers).
  • Providing an operator of Software as a Service platform for visibility, analytics, and booking optimization.

3. Eligibility

  • Be at least 18 years of age or have permission from a parent or legal guardian if permitted under applicable law.
  • Confirm that the information provided is accurate and belongs to you, or that you have legal authority to manage bookings.

4. User Accounts & Freemium Model

To get the most out of Routed Roots, you can choose between our Free Tier and our upgraded subscription plan:

  • Free Tier: Allows you to book trips, join community Tribes, and upload or view basic entries in your Travel Vault.
  • Premium Tier (GetRooted Plus): A paid subscription that unlocks advanced features, including AI-curated Vault timelines, shareable trip books and journals, exclusive premium content (such as live cams and operator Q&As), an ad-free experience, and priority concierge support.
  • Account Security: You are responsible for keeping your login details safe and for all activities that happen under your account.

5. Booking, Cancellations, and Refunds

  • Direct Operator Bookings: All trip bookings made through Routed Roots connect travelers directly with verified local tour operators, community-run lodges, and conservation partners.
  • Cancellation Terms: Because experiences involve unique wilderness logistics, safari permits, and local accommodations, cancellation policies are determined by the individual operator and will be clearly displayed on the booking page prior to checkout.
  • Refund Windows: Depending on the specific operator's policy, cancellations made well in advance of the travel date may qualify for a partial or full refund. Late cancellations or no-shows are generally non-refundable.
  • Community Impact Contributions: In the event of a cancellation, non-recoverable commitments made to local guides and conservation initiatives through our Community Impact Engine may be retained to protect our local host partners.

6. User Responsibilities & Conservation Compliance

You agree to use Routed Roots, responsibly and lawfully. Specifically, you must not:

  • Upload false or misleading travel information.
  • Attempt to interfere with or disrupt the platform, AI features, or community hubs.
  • Access another person's account without permission.
  • Upload malicious software or harmful content.
  • Use the platform for fraudulent, illegal activities, or in violation of local wildlife protection laws, national park regulations, and community-run tourism protocols in Botswana.

7. The Travel Vault & AI Insights

  • AI-generated timelines, itineraries, and insights are informational and inspirational only.
  • Users remain responsible for ensuring that their personal travel details, journal entries, and media uploads to The Travel Vault are accurate and respectful of local communities.
